I’m live from the Sundance Film Festival…so live. For the next five days I’ll be doing what I love most: ‘festing. I always get excited about coming back to this one and it’s a pretty solid way to start the new year. My schedule is packed with films and parties while I blog, Tweet, Facebook and Instagram in between (and probably during). Speaking of Instagram, I didn’t want to add another account to my social media mix, but the new Sundance app made me join the party. Follow me: instagram.com/kshapiromedia. Crystal Fairy took me on a drug-induced South American adventure today with Michael Cera and Gaby Hoffman. New York-based Chilean director Sebastián Silva, who also stars in the film, made my morning. Ridiculous. More on this one and others soon. My preview for Huffington Post Denver was posted today and gives a brief rundown of what’s on my agenda. A full recap of Sundance’s hits and misses and what you can expect to see at the Denver Film Society’s Sie FilmCenter this year is coming once we wrap in Park City. Tomorrow morning I start early for Sound City, Dave Grohl’s directorial debut about the story behind the recording studio of the same name. Rock gods like Stevie Nicks, Rick Springfield, John Fogerty, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen and Rage Against the Machine’s Brad Wilk. Stay tuned for a review and photos on the Denver Post‘s Reverb later this weekend. Until then, follow me on the portal of your choice for live updates from the streets and screens of Park City. You can also click here for news direct from Sundance including guest Tweeters (i.e. @caseyrosewilson, @hellogiggles, @michael_polish @katebosworth and @lizwgarcia) and live streaming video.
